Goal 17 Partners is excited to join over 100 partners as part of this year’s Global Goals Week Coalition. Global Goals Week is an annual week of action, awareness, and accountability for the SDGs. From September 18-26, the coalition will mobilize to ensure the SDGs are front and center during the UN General Assembly’s High-level Week.
The week will include a number of events, spanning all 17 SDGs, such as the UN’s SDG Action Zone, the World Economic Forum’s Sustainable Development Impact Summit, a Global Week of Action, Global Goals Day on September 25th, and Climate Week NYC. The first virtual SDG moment will also take place this year, putting a spotlight on the solutions needed to accelerate progress on the Goals.
With ten years remaining to achieve the Global Goals and the setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s GGW is an opportunity to turn it around for people and planet and create a more sustainable future for all. We have an opportunity to build back better and create a world that is fairer, more sustainable, and more equitable.
